Organizing Men's Junior Volleyball World Championship

Under the supervision of Federation International de Volleyball and under the aegis of Volleyball Federation of India, Maharashtra State Volleyball Association and Poona District Volleyball Association, the championship will be organized by United Sports Foundation, Pune.  

Venue  -  Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune

This proposed World Cup tournament will be held at Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune where the Junior Commonwealth Games 2008 were successfully concluded.

First 16 ranking teams amongst 226 affiliated countries to the  Federation International de Volleyball will contest for the medals in this World Cup tournament.

Basically, Pune has a history, historical City now turned into  major educational hub, IT Sector and in addition to it, beading for this type of World level tournament, adding another feather in his Cap as Sports City.  
In recent past Pune City has successfully concluded the Junior Commonwealth Games.   And now in continuation of that tempo, 2009 Men’s Junior World Cup Volleyball Championship.
